Is Evolution True? What Scientists Admit and the Law of Biogenesis

For well over a century, the theory of evolution has been taught in schools and presented by much of the scientific community as settled fact. But is evolution true? In this blog post, we will look at what some of the world’s leading scientists have actually admitted about evolution, why atheism and evolution go hand in hand, and the one scientific law that no credible scientist can refute, which stops the theory dead in its tracks.

This matters far more than a classroom debate. What we believe about where life came from shapes what we believe about God, about ourselves, and about eternity. And the Bible is clear about where life came from:

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

“Evolution is unproved and unprovable. We believe it only because the only alternative is special creation and that is unthinkable.”

Keith was a Scottish anatomist and physical anthropologist who specialized in the study of fossil humans and was a firm evolutionist.

He was a doctor of medicine, science, and law, and became a professor at the Royal College of Surgeons of England (1908), was professor of physiology at the Royal Institution of Great Britain (1918–23) and was rector of the University of Aberdeen (1930–33) (Britannica).

Harold C. Urey, a winner of the Nobel Prize for chemistry, declared many scientists now admit to the impossibility of evolution and that random mutations could never account for the remarkable biological diversity that characterizes life on earth (Creation: Remarkable Evidence of God’s Design, Grant R. Jeffrey, 2003).

Professor Urey said:

“All of us who study the origin of life find that the more we look into it, the more we feel it is too complex to have evolved anywhere…. And yet we all believe as an article of faith that life evolved from dead matter on this planet. It is just that its complexity is so great that it is hard for us to imagine that it did.”

British astronomer Professor Fred Hoyle acknowledged that enormous problems existed with the theory of evolution. He actually admitted the only reason the theory of evolution is still so widely accepted in the scientific community, despite the virtual lack of scientific evidence, is due to the need of atheistic people to deny the scientific evidence that God created the Universe. In short, he wrote this theory has survived because it is “considered socially desirable and even essential to the peace of mind of the body politic.” (Creation: Remarkable Evidence of God’s Design, Grant R. Jeffrey, 2003; Evolution from Space, London: J.M. Dent and Sons Co., 1981, p. 148.)

There are many other examples we could cite, but space will not permit it here, though I will submit two other pointed quotes at the end of this blog post.

So, is evolution true? Even some of its own leading proponents have had their doubts. Suffice it to say, in the last few decades, numerous scientists have publicly admitted the real reason for accepting and promoting the theory of evolution, even though the scientific evidence is non-existent. As Sir Arthur Keith stated in the above quote, the only logical alternative is special creation by God.

So, since the biblical alternative is absolutely unacceptable to their atheistic beliefs, they have chosen to ignore the evidence in their own fields of study.

Because of the eternal consequences, that is utterly shameful due to the degree of influence they likely have on millions of those who have apparently not bothered to investigate this area.

Atheism and Evolution Go Hand in Hand

Atheism and evolution are likely the fastest growing non-political movements in the world, but make no mistake, they are clearly “religious” at heart because they are believed “by faith.”

Atheists and those who believe in evolution are materialists, i.e., for them nothing exists except physical matter. To them, we are no more than a physical body. But as the Bible explicitly states in Genesis 2:7, God “breathed into his nostrils” the breath of life, and the first human became a living soul, not just a body. That is avoided by atheists because it points to God.

The human brain, as remarkable as it is, does not originate our thoughts. There is obviously something else going on with us.

Just ask yourself, how much do our thoughts and ideas weigh? What do they smell like?

We cannot grab them with our hands. We are thinkers who will live on after the body lies rotting in the grave. Souls and spirits are not subject to the laws of physics and chemistry that govern our bodies.

How do we know that?

Who or What Is Speaking Here?

In Luke 16:19-31, we have the amazing account, spoken by Jesus Himself, of two individuals, a rich man and a poor beggar named Lazarus, both of whom died. Their physical bodies had ceased to exist. There is some debate about whether this was an actual event or a parable. It appears to be an actual event. Either way, what is important to know is that all of Jesus’ parables communicated realities that were true in every detail.

The essence presented by Jesus in this account tells us that the rich man (in hell), “seeing Abraham (who died centuries earlier) far away,” was verbally pleading with him to send Lazarus to cool his tongue. But because he was told that could not be done, he asked Abraham to send Lazarus to his father’s house to warn his five brothers about the reality of that place.

There are several things we can learn from this account, but the point to make for purposes of this topic is to ask the question, who, or better, what is speaking here? The rich man died and was buried, yet the Bible makes it clear that in hell he was still speaking.

What was still speaking? Obviously, it wasn’t his body, and that goes to the point above regarding evolution, which believes everything is physical and there is no spiritual realm. To them, we humans are just molecules, microbes in motion.

What Is Their Goal or End Game?

As hard as it may be to believe, it appears clear when hearing and reading comments coming from the “scientific” community that their major endeavor is to prove that God does not exist. I realize that is a strong allegation to make, but just read or listen to the voluminous amount of information being disseminated, increasingly so over the decades, from the so-called authoritative figures in the world.

The purpose of all the space probes and other instruments, etc., is to find signs of water somewhere out there that might indicate how “life” (whatever that is, they really don’t know) could have had its inception beyond earth and then evolved. It’s a desperate search costing literally billions of dollars.

Their ultimate goal is to “discover” something out there to show that we humans here on earth are not the unique creatures the God of the Bible created in His image. Even the entertainment industry sends this message, perhaps unwittingly, with all the science fiction films it has produced over the years, costing literally multiple billions of dollars (Pepperdine Digital Commons).

The “Smoking Gun” That Kills Evolution

The one absolute truth that not one credible, well-respected scientist in the world will refute is the Law of Biogenesis. The Law of Biogenesis states that life arises only from pre-existing life, not from non-living matter. Life only comes from Life! It was established through experiments by Francesco Redi in the 17th century (1668) and Louis Pasteur in the 19th century (1860s) (New Creation).

It clearly asserts that living organisms cannot originate from nonliving matter. This principle is fundamental in biology and has been supported by various scientific experiments. It has become the cornerstone of modern biology, emphasizing that all known life forms arise from other living organisms. When it comes to the question, is evolution true, no honest scientist can avoid this truth and legitimately hold to belief in evolution.

The obvious question then is, how in the world could all these extremely complex and very intricate life forms we see around us have just come into being by a sudden burst of energy, which is non-living matter?

The traditional scientific community cannot even tell us what energy is, where or why it was “hiding,” or why it suddenly showed up as a cosmic explosion. They call it the “Big Bang theory,” but it would be better classified as a fairy tale, or to be candid, just an outright lie. They know it is not possible or true because of the Law of Biogenesis, which stops any claim of life just spontaneously appearing dead in its tracks.

There are probably very few people, of the eight-plus billion people on the planet, who like being lied to. And make no mistake, the promotion of a “Big Bang” that produced life as we know it is a deliberate misrepresentation. The “traditional” scientific community cannot even tell us what life is or how it could be imparted to the lifeless chemicals that comprise our bodies.

It is dishonest to promote evolution, or to answer the question “Is evolution true?”, without first facing these and other specific, foundational, fundamental questions.

This subject is extremely important because to believe in evolution is to not believe in God, the Creator, as it pertains to life as we know it. In other words, that person is atheistic, i.e., disbelieving in God.

There are scriptures in the Bible that speak to those who do not believe in God. Two of the clearest and most direct are Psalm 14:1 and Psalm 53:1, which both repeat:

“The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt…”

This is God’s assessment of those who do not believe in Him. Some might think God is being harsh by referring to people this way. But in reading the verse below, we will find it totally reasonable.

“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse.”

I am aware there are those who purport to believe in God but also believe in evolution, that is, God did create the world, but He then had to use evolution to complete it. That is completely contrary to what the Bible teaches and is essentially saying God was not capable or powerful enough to finish creation but had to use evolution to complete the extremely intricate, complex, minute, and fine-tuned details.

This has eternal consequences because John 3:36 states, “The one who believes in the Son has eternal life; but the one who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”

Jesus stated in John 8:24, “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

We will leave it here with two of the most pointed and striking quotes regarding this issue that should get the attention of any honest seeker asking, is evolution true?

The first is again from Sir Fred Hoyle, who, though not an evolutionist himself, was a critic of Darwinian evolution. He stated:

“The chance that higher life forms might have emerged through evolutionary processes is comparable with the chance that a tornado sweeping through a junk yard might assemble a Boeing 747 from the material therein.”

The second is from Dr. Tahmisian, a former U.S. Atomic Energy Commission physiologist known for his critical views on the theory of evolution. He stated:

“Scientists who go about teaching that evolution is a fact of life are great con men, and the story they are telling may be the greatest hoax ever. In explaining evolution, we do not have one iota of fact.”
