Healing is Part of the Kingdom of God

Jesus Promoted The Kingdom of God

We all know that God’s will for us is Health and Healing. Right? Well, did you know that Jesus never taught healing? He preached the Kingdom of God and demonstrated the Kingdom. Healing is part of the Kingdom of God. Did you know that the Kingdom of God is mentioned 150 times in the scriptures?

The spirit of the Lord anointed Jesus to preach, and the Word He preached was confirmed with signs and wonders. The word of God must be the foundation of our faith. Faith is born when God’s will is known in the heart of an individual. Faith is a choice. We serve such a loving God that He will meet us right at the point of our faith (Mark 5:25-28 – the woman with the issue of blood).

“Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.” Luke 9:1-2

“And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privately into a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida. But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing.”Luke 9:10-11

The heart of Jesus was to proclaim the kingdom of God. Just like He sent his disciples to preach the kingdom. In the message that Jesus taught, there was the power to heal those that came, because the kingdom consists of His power. The kingdom consists of His will and His will is that His people be healed.

“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:13-14

Everything in this verse has already been accomplished. We are not trying to get it. It is a done deal. We just need to believe that it has already happened to experience the benefits. We are not trying to get translated into God’s Kingdom; we are already there seated in heavenly places in Christ.

Sickness was never God’s idea. It is not nor was it ever a plan for creation. There was no sickness in the beginning:

“Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”Genesis 1:31

Jesus attacked sickness:

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”Acts 10:38

Healing is for the nations:

“In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”Revelation 22:2

All through the scriptures from Genesis to Revelation we see God’s willingness is to heal. Healing is here today!

Jesus came to preach the Kingdom of God. He came to promote the Kingdom and to manifest the Kingdom of God. He came to make right that which was wrong. He did not proclaim healing. He healed those in need of healing as a manifestation or demonstration of the Kingdom of God while promoting the Kingdom of God!

John the Baptist Prepared the Way for the Kingdom

“In those days John the Baptist came to the Judean wilderness and began preaching. His message was, ‘Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.’ The prophet Isaiah was speaking about John when he said, ‘He is a voice shouting in the wilderness, Prepare the way for the LORD’s coming! Clear the road for him!’”Matthew 3:1-3 NLT

John believed in the kingdom of God, and he was preaching it, crying it aloud and shouting it.

We must think the same way. We must change our mindset if it is against the things of God; giving up sin and changing our conduct to the kingdom of God’s conduct.

For some people, their spirit is in the Kingdom of God, but their brain and hormones are in the world. And they chose to live by their hormones and not their renewed mind. We need a revelation of who we are and what we have been delivered from.

God’s will is health and healing, but guilt and sin consciousness and even our own family can cause us to not receive our healing.

The Account of the Withered Fig Tree

“The next morning as they passed by the fig tree he had cursed, the disciples noticed it had withered from the roots up. Peter remembered what Jesus had said to the tree on the previous day and exclaimed, ‘Look, Rabbi! The fig tree you cursed has withered and died!’

Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.'”

Mark 11:20-24 NLT

Everything we need is in the Kingdom of God. And healing should follow the Gospel.

what god says about healing

The message of the Kingdom is for the Spirit, Soul, and Body! Believing is a choice. When we pray, we must only believe and never doubt. Doubt despairs, complains and is sad. Faith and believing rejoices, gives thanks and are glad.

It is God’s will to heal all the time, every time. His promise is for us to have 120 years of life if we want it. ALL the promises of God as it says in 2 Corinthians 1:20 are Yes and AMEN!

Do you believe that?

Look at the story ofJesus healing the leper:

“And He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out demons. Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, ‘if You are willing, You can make me clean.’ Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, ‘I am willing; be cleansed.’ As soon as He had spoken immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.”Mark 1:39-42

We need to let the “I Will” of Jesus be in us, we need to get stirred up and take whole of that which Jesus has purchased for us. Let it stir you up, let the Kingdom of God rise up in you, so much so that whatever your dealing with no matter how small or big it may be, that you get angry that you are being robbed by the enemy….And so you get angry about it but, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.” Matthew 11:12-13

“The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.”Luke 16:16

Take Your Healing by Force

The phrase “suffers violence” in Matthew 11:12 is the Greek word “BIAZO”, and it means “to use force or apply force (reflexively) to crowd oneself into. Or, (passively) to be seized.” This same Greek word was used in Luke 16:16.

When John came in the power of the Spirit preaching a message to turn away from sin (Matthew 3:8) and to have faith in the coming Messiah (Matthew 3:11) the people began pressing in to receive it. The multitudes were not actively seeking God at first, they began to flock to the wilderness to be baptized by John, confessing their sins, and putting their faith in the coming Messiah.

The spiritual picture that I want you to see here is that the people were “truly pressing in”. They had a no-nonsense, serious attitude and mindset from deep in their souls; a total earnestness, not superficial, humorous, or playful when it comes to protecting the things the enemy was trying to keep from them like health and wholeness. They were pressing into the Kingdom of God. They overcame obstacles or opposition posed by laws, traditions, unbelief, or any power satan threw at them, to receive the message that John preached. They were violently resolved (to reach or make a firm decision about) in their passion and forcefully pressing into the kingdom of God.

Today, as in the days of John the Baptist, satan is opposing the preaching of the Gospel, and only those who are violently resolved to receive God’s best will have it! Is that you?

God’s Grace Provides Healing

It is God’s Grace that brews up and stirs up this violent mindset and attitude to press into what is rightfully ours. It is an intense righteous desire to press toward the things of God. We must be overly persistent in our striving and demands against the enemy. There must be a desire for this earnestness, which leads to a deep hunger to love Christ with all that is within us for what He has done for us.

This Holy violence that I am referring to is not against people, but it is against dullness or complacency within us, especially against everything that comes to steal, kill, and destroy things in our lives (John 10:10).

We need to know what belongs to us because of the price Jesus paid. He paid a tremendous price for our healing! Healing is ours NOW!

Gods grace provides healing

We have enemies: the world, our flesh and the devil. So, because of that we must be violently opposed to those forces who are opposed to us.

We must keep in mind that we are always victorious in Christ.

“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.”2 Corinthians 2:14

“But thanks be to God! For through what Christ has done, he has triumphed over us so that now wherever we go he uses us to tell others about the Lord and to spread the Gospel like a sweet perfume.”2 Corinthians 2:14 The Living Bible

We must be violently resolved after the things of the Kingdom of God (John 2:15-17). Those who think anger is always wrong are wrong. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil (Proverbs 8:13). Those who are not angry at evil empower evil. We are doing things wrong if we are not doing them the Kingdom of God’s way.
